It's raining. Guess i have to skip today's run .. Again .. :( Hopefully i can manage to survive this Sunday's River Jungle Marathon. xD Anyways,I would wave my running shoes goodbye after spending a memorable 1000km with it. And all of them would usually last forever in a dumpsite. WAIT, NOT ALL SHOES. Correction - All shoes except for Brooks. :P
The picture above shows the logo for Brooks BioMoGo.
Normally, an (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) EVA midsole material in a running shoe takes 1,000 years or above to biodegrade in a dumpsite. Imagine 1000 years O.O !! We could have reborn again and again and again , and those shoes live longer than your multiple lives.
That's why, in order to play an important role in greening our Mother Earth, Brooks had added a non-toxic, natural additive to MoGo compound that encourages anaerobic microbes to munch away once the material that hits an active, enclosed landfill. So, it means Bio Mogo shoes break down 50 times faster !! Sounds impossible, but again, nothing is impossible when there is great minds ~ ^o^ Brooks calculates that over 25 years, they can reduce dumpsite waste by nearly 30 million pounds. But they’re not hiding this ''secret recipe'' in their treasure chest. It's because the company feels so strongly about the importance of greening the running shoe industry that they are going “open source” – sharing the recipe for their non-toxic natural additive with any and all footwear companies that want it. So let us spread it to the world and play our part in greening our earth ~~ :3
As the saying goes , a business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.

Nice one:)
